Vacancies: Exhibitions Project Officer and Volunteer Team Leader, Haynes Motor Museum

Haynes Motor Museum is recruiting for two new full time roles, an Exhibitions Project Officer and Volunteer Team Leader. Details of the two roles can be found on the Haynes Motor Museum website.

Exhibitions Project Officer

“We are looking to recruit an experienced museum professional with a proven track record in exhibitions commissioning, installation and project management.

The successful applicant will work closely with the Curator, other colleagues and external contractors to deliver an experiential interpretational journey designed to appeal to a wide range of audiences. Reporting to the Curator, who is head of department, you will be working alongside the Volunteer Team Leader and working with the broader Museum team across departments.”

Volunteer Team Leader

“After carrying out a volunteer review, the Museum is recruiting a Volunteer Team Leader to help to develop, plan and then implement a new volunteer strategy and lead the volunteer cohort. This is an exciting opportunity to develop the volunteer experience and guide volunteer growth at the Museum through the recruitment, training and coordination of volunteers.

The Museum is moving from “car collection to museum” which will reimagine the visitor journey, reconceptualising ways in which volunteers can improve the visitor experience and use of collections across site. The successful candidate will support the Museum’s development through the management of volunteers with the aims of:

  • Supporting the creation of an exceptional visitor journey
  • Facilitating innovative educational opportunities
  • Being conscientious custodians of our collection

Reporting to the Curator, who is the head of department, you will be working alongside the Exhibitions Project Officer within the Collections team. You will also be working with the broader Museum team across departments.”

Further information on both roles can be found on the Haynes Motor Museum website.
